Interesting game even though it was a draw :-)

amazing fortress by karjakin, proving his worth in holding bad positions once again, i'm really impressed.
he'll actually have to pose some problems for carlsen at some point though, you can't just keep trying to defend these positions against magnus every game :p

if you play a move like 19.Bxc4 giving the lightsquare bishop just like that you should lose. #chess is not fair

4 draws already, 8 more are coming. I just wonder, if both players have good chess skills and try very hard to win, will it always be a draw? Meanwhile Vishy Anand wins the Champions Showdown tournament.

Here was my analysis. I might add some more moves but after this it was pretty pointless.

@chessanalyst I don't see anything wrong with 19. Bxc4
This move saves the b2 pawn, eliminates a strong knight for the cost of bad bishop. I think Sergey Karjakin plays chess much better than you and all the other people who criticize him.

@Tangelo777 Bxc4 is the worst white can do. It is a terrible move that leads to blacks domination. It gives up the two bishops for no apparent reason and allows black to get a position where it cramps white. Bxc4 is a blunder and may have costed Sergey the game if MC did not play f4 leading to immediate draw (fortress).
