Analysis move box formatting

I tested it in Chrome and the "wheel dont work for traveling through the game when mouse arrow over the board" is there aswell. The mouse wheel just up/down the page, as in Firefox.

Strange, because It worked fine for me before the update.
#20 Thanks. Nice to know im not the only one and the fix is coming. ¡This site never cease to improve!

I use caps to give emphasis. Im calm. My english is terrible, so i use caps it to call attention to the "concept" that lurks beneath my english shreddage; no shouting - bad behaviour intended. Apologies.
Oh, and thanks for getting rid of any information about why something is a mistake or a blunder other than the number value, where beforehand it would tell the ideal move and thus give me a sense of why the move that was made was bad. Now a beginner like me has absolutely no clue about why it's a mistake other than '-3.5'.
It's like you heard what I said about why I liked the analysis, and deliberately made it worse. Beforehand, if I was dedicated I could at least try to make a sense of the analysis. Now, I've got nothing to go off.
Cheers
I'll agree that I find a lot of the "improvements" unwanted. There are some nice aspects to the site -- such as piece sets, puzzles, chesstv, and the like. However, the design is no longer as simple and clean as it was a few years back.

The additional chess variations are fun to play once in awhile, but all the little icons are just plain confusing. Another unwanted effect is that they dilute the player pool. This means if you want to play a normal game of chess you'll have to wait much longer.

Even allowing custom time controls has the same type of effect. I liked the way this other chess site has 3 buttons: 1 min, 5 min, 15 min. It's much simpler and faster.

Like was mentioned, the analysis board is now almost completely unusable. It used to highlight the move the computer recommended. That was user friendly. Now it just shows a bunch of numbers and blocks of text.

I appreciate the efforts being put into this site, but making unwanted changes and then forcing them on us isn't productive.

Go back to the basics, and get them done right. A single chess board in the center of the screen. Make it resizable like everyone's been asking for. Legal moves should not be highlighted, we're not idiots. Premoves should be upgraded to allow multiple premoves to be set at one time. A first choice, then second choice, then third choice. The right click should cancel all premoves.

Then change the font to Arial, or something that looks nicer. And forum posts should be editable. Hope these suggestions were useful.
You like giving orders, here's one for you: go play on "this other site" you mentioned.
'Hope these suggestions were useful.'

Didn't much look like suggestions, suggestions start with 'maybe you should...' or 'wouldn't it be nice if...' or the like. These were blatant commands.

That being said, rather than simply echoing thibault, I'll expand on why this site is not that other site (which I am pretty sure I know which one you mean and I think is terrible, for the record) and why the things you are complaining about are relatively trite:

The icons are arbitrary, so yes maybe they could be seen as confusing (because...idk a lightning bolt, a flame, and an hourglass seem so difficult to understand in terms of the 3 time scales) but since people often don't like to use the filters, they are helpful for the interface challenged. The legal move display is helpful for beginners, and can be turned off in the settings.

The board resizing isn't necessary because most browsers have a zoom function and the board goes with it. If you want it bigger, ctrl + and if you want it smaller ctrl - and ctrl 0 will return everything to normal. Also, there's no sense in allowing multiple premoves since the premove function is generally there because of the lightning games where you don't have time to click that many premoves anyway.

There's a reason you can't edit your forum posts and never will be able to and it's been discussed 100 times. And if you dislike the font, then mod the CSS or something...srsly complaining about the font of all things. Grow up.

The highlighting of 'best' moves, however, I can see the point of, but it isn't entirely necessary (as I went into detail about earlier in this thread). The fact there is even an analysis option to begin with should be counted as a blessing. In reality, you should have to download your PGN and take it to your preferred engine rather than relying on the website to do the analysis for you. If you don't care for the way the analysis display is being changed -- and note the key words, 'being changed'...thibault has said he was still in the process of updating it, so just be patient and stop complaining until it's finalized maybe?

Anyway, I am in no way a representative of this site, so I'll shut up now. I just figured since these were things anyone who has been around here for more than a few months should understand about lichess, I'd go ahead and respond.
I confess, too often I lack the patience and energy to answer nicely. Putting so much effort on lichess nowadays makes me irritable. My bad.

It's been requested enough time, so I'll probably re-implement move suggestion highlights.
