Lose by timeout

Is this a bug? I was waiting for my opponent to make a move, his clock was winding down. Finally, his clock went to Zero, but no victory was "announced". So I refreshed the screen, and lo and behold, it was I who lost by time out.
Can someone please explain what happened?

i am thinking you are talking about this game

Probably its ur internet connection thats why.
Yes, that's the game. His King was on check (red highlight), and his clock was ticking down. My side never showed his last move, c3. If internet was disconnected, why was White's clock still "ticking" and winding down? I wish someone from Lichess Staff could explain how/why this happens. Or maybe this is a hidden feature?
hey lichess has this, as as soon as your connection stops, things stay the way they are for instance: his clokc is still running

yeah sometimes after 5 seconds you could just refresh the page.
The opponent's clock could just be lagging for you. It's just running, but instead your clock is running. You guys both had about 13 minutes, so this could be a possibility.
