Not much chance of playing females in chess. Even harder to know if your opponent is male or female on lichess, especially as females sometimes prefer not to announce their gender online, in order to avoid hassle/abuse etc.

Seems like the fellow will spend many lonely nights searching for a romantic chess partner online.

He seemed serious about it, too.

How to not succeed in finding a female romantic partner:

- Go looking for one on a chess website
- Tell everyone you only play females
- Neglect the fact that most people you play against are thousands of kilometres away
