Do many titled players choose not to disclose their title?

I see there is many players, 2500+ that don't have any mention of their title yet they perform extremely well, even gaining some games from strong grandmasters. Are they trying to avoid preparations trying to remain anonymous?
Definately there are some players who choose to remain anonymous just so they don't reveal information about their opening choices etc. Also what sometimes happen is that very strong GMs have their official acoount and they sometimes play on a secondary account for the same reason. That being said, there are a lot of players who can play extremely well and still don't have a title.
And there are some titled players who don't play particularly well anymore.
Ok, probably you are thinking of stronger players but as far as I am concerned I play mostly with an anonymous account.
I’m hikaru nakamura but don’t tell anyone
There are also strong players who never have the opportunity to play in over the board tournaments. We have a guy locally who can play and hold against NMs and FMs but doesn't play in tournaments.
yeah, man. you. where's you AFM or ACM or AWCM title or whatever?
