Swiss Tournament

Hello
I was wondering if it was possible for Lichess to create the option to do swiss Tournaments. I have seen this request from a lot of people recently . Especially now, where many chess clubs have closed it would be awesome if lichess would enable them to become an online chess club for a while. Personally i am a huge fan of Arenas but for a "serious" Tournament Swiss is the best option.

I would love swiss (and round robin) as an option. Our club has moved online now due to the Corona crisis, and Lichess is the prefered place to be. But the lack of swiss and round robin is a serious downside. It cannot be impossible to implement?
My club has moved all activity online these days. Lichess is great with the chess club option, but the lack of "regular" tournaments similar to what chess_dot_com has, is something we miss.
Lichess can now be even more popular to play on if you give clubs and members the possibility to make zwiss tournaments. The option for clubs to have serious tournaments based on "normal" rules will be so much welcomed!
Agree - Lots of clubs going on-line as result of covid - it would be a great time to enhance team management capabilities e.g. to run and schedule tournaments.

Build on the momentum - lots of new players signing up too.

Improving the team capabilities will make your platform more 'sticky' and popular
Yes other tournaments like round tournaments and swiss would be great. We just did the first tournament with 17 players of our club and many played very often against the same players. Especially for club internal tournaments this would be a great help.

If either round or swiss tournaments would be possible there will be the drawback that rounds have to start in parallel - not needing this in the current tournament mode is a real benefit. So switching to this would also mean that for each round a start time might need to be added (would also make it possible to do long game tournaments over several evenings).

I would really like such tournament possibilities :)

Currently the only option would be that a tournament organizer has to do the games with an external program, post it to the team and each has to manually start the game with his opponent with right time etc. - afterwards next round has to be calculated by the organizer ...
