Racing Kings: How's this a draw?

If white reaches the 8th rank first and on the next move black can also reach the 8th rank, then it is a draw. This is to compensate that white moves first

Oh
a weird mechanic but okay.

Thanks!
Both of the kings reached the 8th rank which means it is draw, even if your king was first it doesn't matter
I had the same case recently. It feels right and at the same time also wrong. Imagine the same logic in regular chess. You play white pieces, checkmate your opponent but one move later they checkmate you. So its a draw right - its only fair, to compensate for the first move advantage ^^
I could figure out the answer by just reading the title + although I had never played RK.

Um I think it happens only when the other person premoves, which isn’t really fair
