My student cheated what should I do

Hi folks, my student who is new to chess, broke the rules of lichess by using an engine in rated games. I will most definitely explain to him how that is illegal and that it is not allowed, but I am curious whether lichess can give a second chance to the same account and/or let him create a second one. Will appreciate your input

Tell him that if he doesn't really love the game it is better to never play it and find another sports that he really likes.

He needs to use lichess.org/appeal and it would be wise to confess and apologize.

Also props to you for not being one of the guys like "my student was banned, but he definitely couldn't have cheated"

@WorstPersonOnEarth cheaters may genuinely love chess, they just don't love their opponents for sure XD
