I was looking at my rating distribution and noticed that there were now sections below 600? Does anyone know when this change was made, and out of curiosity, why?

If your rating is significantly lower than an opponent and you lose, you lose a lot fewer points and if your rating is a lot higher and you win, you win a lot fewer points.
