Today I had a rather amusing lapse of thought in my game. You see usually I play atomic but upon this morning I happened to be playing a game of good ol classical. Forgetting the fact that I was playing classical for a moment I rammed my queen into the d2 pawn as though the game were atomic and typed gg into the chat whilst my opponent spammed the chat with question marks. I found it funny and felt that I should share this story with you all.
However on another note do you find that playing the variations on lichchess affects your classical gameplay unconsciously/on purpose and for better or worse? Just trying to spark a discussion on transitioning in and out of variations as well the affect that has on your style of play. Do you think it better to focus on just one or find it helpful and maybe even provides some insight into the game if you try many?
Apologies for poor English in advance.
