Lag compensation is flawed????

I don't understand, chessico. Why would my lag be any bad for my opponent? Their time doesn't start till the server reads my move, and thus they don't lose any time due to my lag - but I do.

Also, it would be one thing for Lichess to say "ok, you have higher ping so you have a disadvantage. Deal with it." But, they claim there is lag compensation in place that makes high ping NOT a disadvantage. I'm saying it doesn't work.
Well, laggers are a problem that is not new, usually lag is considered something, well, not so good. From my experience I can only say, it destroys any flow that might have been there on my side. Just imagine I play 20 games 1 min, and everything goes smoothly. And then comes someone with close to a second lag. The rhythm is so different that it can throw me off completely. The lagger, on the other hand, is in his rhythm, he plays with this bad or "wrong" timing all the time and is used to it. A giant advantage.
I hate playing 0+1, 1/2+0 and 1+0 against laggers. Their clock goes down to 0 but they don't lost. You make a move and then their clock is on 1.5 seconds again. It's like trying to kill a big mad wasp.

Then, after they lose, they tell you all about it. Or about how they don't have a mouse. Or their ping is 9 million.

LAG problems? Get good internet.
PING problems? Move nearer to France.
No mouse? Buy one.
Chessico, you might be thrown off your flow or w/e but at least you can premove end games without losing on time

Toutatis, the point of this is not to complain about having high ping. It's to say that Lichess's CLAIMED lag compensation does NOT work. Either fix it or remove the claim.

Oh, and your statement "Their clock goes down to 0 but they don't lost. You make a move and then their clock is on 1.5 seconds again" is completely BULLSHIT

[Added some capitals to help you understand]

jimj12, sometimes I saw this. Clock goes to zero and then to 0.8 seconds again. And so is every move.

If you watched the games of chessbrahs or hiimgosu, you would also see that they lose some 0.1 ms with pre-moves. I usually lose 40-60, sometimes 200 ms with every move.
Yes, but 0 to 1.5 seconds? Lichess only claims to compensate up to 1 second so that is clearly false even if compensation does work (which it doesn't)

And yeah, I lose way more because my ping is higher. Which is natural, but again shows that their claim is false
Hey kid, you don't have to be so passive aggressive. It isn't how to get people to respond well to you, especially when you're complaining.

You obviously aren't capable of understanding tongue-in-cheek...

I've seen time go to zero and then go up, many times. The compensation DOES work. Maybe you just need to speed up or get better internet.
jimj12, yes, I think 1 seconds is maximum.

Toutatis, compensation really works not all the time. You can see videos of chessbrahs, where he loses 50-100 ms with a move sometimes. Also there are a lot of situations where he said after a game, in which he lost by time, something like: "What? I premoved that..."
...but premoves DO take time. They aren't 0.0 seconds. Otherwise the top players could move infinitely.
Toutatis, the point is premoves take MORE time for people with HIGHER ping. This seems obvious to you because it IS. the PROBLEM is that Lichess CLAIM that higher ping is NOT a disadvantage. They are lying, or their system is not working as intended. I would like them to either remove the claim, or fix the system if possible.
