I dont think chess titles should specify gender

@h2b2 that's a story I've heard over and over again, populair thought, but not really true.

Just look at common interests of men/women. You see that basically all games on the internet are overpopulated with men. Women simply like other things in general. Not a case of society but about interests.

For example, I just wanted to learn chess more to beat my classmates at school ;)
I agree, women should be required to compete with men and women if they want a title. Men should be required to compete with women and men for a title, in my opinion.
True, that’s discriminating.

I’m not in deep enough to judge whether it’s the good or bad kind of discrimination, I’m just a 1400 without OTB experience.

But i want to wander off a little bit and mention how much I got triggered when Judith polgars top5 plays on YT had a basic checkmate as #5 when most of her other plays were impossible to see forcing double or triple sacrifice lines. That’s just bad prep =)
I agree that their should be no need to specify sex or gender in a title for a chess player.

I also think that all Women should be offended at the pat on the head titles they are given because FIDE thought they could bribe Women into the game. Lets not worry about a comfortable environment for everyone; or the blatant sexism still very much present in the culture; No no no, the reason you do not see more Women over the board MUST be how hard it is to score a title.

Anyways, that is my G rated rant on this subject, I am out before it turns into an R. lol
@SynapticSentinel " that's a story I've heard over and over again, populair thought, but not really true."

what part of my post are your responding to and do you have a study to cite?
It‘s a bonus. The titles without the „W“ are open and thus for everyone.

So what is „missing“ when there is a bonus? Is it missing that it isn’t designed for u, i.e. not your bonus?
I think it is for supporting women to play chess if we look at the chess history there are not much woman players
You know we can bring women into men chess and stop this separation but donet expect to see many women above the level of a fide master
